Wednesday Dinner at Bistro Mercedes

Me and my hubby, Dane, are starting a habit that every wednesday night would be a dinner date for us. Three weeks ago, we ate at a TNT; two weeks ago at Bez; a week ago at Butchers. And last night was no exception, we ate at Bistro Mercedes. It is located at Capistrano - Chaves Street here in Cagayan de Oro city, near Jollibee and Lourdes College. The food was fine, I wasn’t that impressed with what I ordered which was “Pork Steak”, but what Dane ordered, the “Ginataang Tilapia”, was really good. Overall rating for me - 3 out of 5 stars ***!Not to mention, they have this so-called “Unlimited Rice Package”.

I wonder where would be our next dinner next wednesday night of next week. hmmm … I can’t wait .. Maybe at Thai Me Up? We’ll see .. ’til next week my love!

My Other Nephew: Raphael

I have the cutest and sweetest nephew, son of my brother Carlo, he’s 3 years old going 4. He’s adorable and just simply handsome. He’s name is Gerduane and he comes to the house at least once a week to be with us.

But did you all know that I do have another nephew? He came into this world before Gerduane came. He’s already 7 years old. (I think! or 8 ) - kinda confused coz’ he just celebrated his birthday last March. He’s name is Raphael. He’s Carlo’s first child but from another girl; who back then got pregnant when she was 14 or 15 years old and Carlo was 16 or 17 at that time. We know that he exist but I don’t have any idea if Raphael knows that we and his father - Carlo - exist. We never knew him personally and he never knew us either. Raphael’s mother was hidden from us when her family knew she got pregnant. Carlo tried his best in looking for her, searching every hospital and Lying-Ins in the city at Raphael’s birth. But her family was just too good in keeping her away from my brother. Years have passed and I just knew that Carlo and her are starting to communicate again. hmmmmm … I heard this time Carlo is the one who’s kinda’ not ready to face them. LOL! Kagulo oi hehe …

What excites me is that both Gerduane and Raphael don’t know that they have brothers. LOL!

Writing Blues ….

Well, to start off, I have a new boss - been working for him for more than a month now. My work got great reviews and compliments from my boss the first month (March). But when April came, issues started to crawl up in. It’s Ezine rejecting some of my writings with stupid reasons such as - grammar and spelling errors - wtf! I was like “ok! I’ll check!” but when I did check it, it was perfect! another reason - similar article found - OKAY! my fault, I submitted an article to my boss which I previously submitted to him! Yeah - I messed up my files for April. I need to get organizeed. Gosh! Everything went so well until April came! Every time my boss emails me, my heart starts to pound! He used to email me back then (last march) with great feedbacks, now he emails me asking for revisions. But he told me I’m doing fine because despite the rejections, my rejection rate is very low compared to others. Well, I guess I have to agree with him. Out of 50 articles I submit to him each week, only 4 or 5 articles sent back to me for revisions. But still, it frustrates me! Crap! I hate it! Well, my boss also told me that Ezine sometimes have system errors on its own. 

So I guess I don’t have to worry too much. But I wish it will all get back to how everything started like in March. Anyway, going back to work now! Going to work ahead of schedule so I could have lots and loads of free time next week. Ciao!

I’m Back! with My Random Events!

And so I’m back blogging after almost five months of not blogging. I’ve been quite busy for the past months so I thought I’d share to you some of the highlights within those times. I call them “My Random Events.” So here they are:

1. Holiday Hang Out with My HighSchool BestFriends!

It’s not everyday that I get to see my best friends. So last december we got together and had fun for one night. We went out and hanged out to several bars here in the city. We’ll be seeing each other again soon when Robs arrives in the city this coming April 23rd. See you Robs!

2. My Couzin Katz Paid Us a Visit Here in CDO!

For several times I went to Manila and stayed at their place with her Mom and baby Koen, I have always asked her to visit us in her mom’s hometown - Cagayan de Oro City! And finally, last december 2009, she came with her mom and Koen. I miss you ate Katz! I’ll see you soon, okay?

3. Christmas and New Year Celebration with My Family and The Whole Clan!

Yes! Every year our whole clan get together and celebrate christmas and new year. There’s just too many of us! And it’s just great! Until next year!

4. Pictorials by Achoo!

One of my closest friends, Achoo, came home last March - first week. And he just took the camera and let me pose under the heat of the sun where it was too hot! It was fun though! Cacai, my long time friend and neighbor, did the makeup while Achoo was the choreographer. But the other two pictures were taken of me with no makeup at all! I want to do it again Choo. You’re coming home by elections this May, right?

5. My Birthday! March 22!

Oh yeah! I celebrated my birthday last March 22 - with my Dad, brothers’ Carlo and Andre, my boyfriend Dane, my brother’s girlfriend Lelia, my couzin Cheska, my tito Mens and baby Heaven! We ate at Shakeys - my all time favorite Pizza place (but the food was not as great as it used to be.) Anyway, I had so much fun!

6. 7th Monthsary!

April 6th! Me and my boyfriend Dane celebrated our 7th monthsary! I love him so much! I love you Mine! It’s my first time to hold on to a relationship this long! HAHA! And I’m keepin’ it that way! I’m not getting any younger! ;P

7. Finally, Baby Heaven’s Christening!

What can I say! Heaven, my very beautiful neice. The daughter of my beautiful (just 2nd to me) couzin Cheska! The food was great! I was so full! I wish everyday is Heaven’s christening already! LOL!
